We're at that tipping point, critical mass, escape velocity whatever your phrase. This administration has been outed as liars, criminals and murders. It's up to us the silent or only vocal in our social subset to break the plane; reach out and talk to family that you avoid the conversations of culture and politics with. Replace the acquaintance interactions that are normal sports and weather with strangers on the train, bus or in line at the store. I like to phrase it as a question, genuinely interested in knowing, "why do you think the towers feel down". Do you think an honorable administration and foreign policy would make us safer than shooting people?"
It can be stated it with humor and no rancor. If you're part of the 'fuck them all' mindset then you too are a TaliBabtist. If you're cosmology is of the theorem style X= itSucks then you need to reexamine my friend. Solving for itSucks just isn't good Math. It doesn't work out. Those that REALly believe that would have left the building. Like tossing the fashion atheist in the river, sooner or later they start screaming for some version of divine help. What are you hanging around the party for anyway? Waiting for it to suck more?
For the masses it's going to be like ripping off the scab and cleaning out an infected wound. This awakening from the AmericaNightMare is going to be vicious for some, and for others hurt and betrayal. For those of us that never expected it to be honest and honorable, that didn't need to hear a PHD in physics tell us the towers didn't fall from the fire it's not a shock. So we have to do some of the triage to those that are in the middle.
If not then we're like those that don't want Shira law and just watch as a minority rules the country and hurtles us to the dream of the extreme everywhere, holy war and the end of the world. The influence of IslamiFacists is the same as Judeo-Christian Fascists.
There are tools available; screen the middle of the road truth about 911 by the telegenic 'jersey girls', widows of 911, the women who forced the administration to convene the 911 commission and tried unsuccessfully to get to the truth of the day the towers fell. Their Movie 911 Press for Truth is a classic.
The new version of Loose Change is much snazzier then the unfunded version but still cuts like a razor through the blubber of disinformation and lies served up about 911, it includes one of the last interviews with Hunter S. Thompson, his quote, "like any crime you have to investigate who had motive and access." Hmmm cop shows are popular right. Like the forensic type. So I'm sure people would gobble up this thriller.
Its just time to break out of the grooves on the record, scratch some new cliques. Here in Portland we have so many cliques inside the burning man, country fair, music, politics, arts.. It's a bit depressing, I may be naive but I expect people to walk their fashion, tattoos and music preferences. You just can't listen to the sounds of the streets sometimes you have to walk on them. As they say, "walk you talk or the divine may break your legs."

We finally get all the mud out, it takes an extra day, we didn't underestimate it's just you have to work at the pace of what's in front of you, MA dictates what that is. For the final day it's the tuning, we bring buckets of water for hours and use our hands and coconut bark to scrub and wash down the walls, lingams and nandi's that are exposed inside. The bell gets dunked and cleansed by all of us of course. The last day is just Teelu and I with a core of the ghat boys that are now completely dedicated to the project, we are all in half lungies and working hard side by side, stopping only to clean some of the muck off of ourselves in the Ganga so as not to track it back in.

10 amazing, fun and hardworking Bangladeshis, at a rate of three 15 Kilo baskets a minute, nine hours a day for two days remove the thick plug of Ganga silt from the sinking temple, just near Manikarnika Kund. She hasn't been cleaned for years. We expose 13 lingams, six in the center fount. This is after 3 days of using the power washer from a generator pump in a boat from the river, blasting away the meter or so high burm that had built up around the temple in the last monsoon.
Today Teelu, Madan's brother, Madan who got married, and I began the cleaning of the Mandir Ütemple- at the Manikarnika ghat. The main burning ghat that takes it's name from an amrit pool where the water is of unknown source, hot in the winter and cool in the summer.
Day to day, moment-to-moment, breath to breath is the method for the synthesis of time recommended by therapists, gurus, rickshaw wallahs and talking mirrors everywhere.
