Golden temples smokin' in Najaf, gold medals danglin' in Athens. It swirls at the pace of a surprise hurricane. Yet every day millions are bored, tired, listless. The anxiety level on the planet could be at it's maximum, or is it? Are the bills more food for the fight or flight syndrome than being chased by a predator intent on your death. We do have chronic poverty and hunger still as issues even here in the usa where you can get what you want, when you want it, provided you have the proper credit history. They don't seem to care as much about your credit history as about your finance future. We can all stand to remind ourselves that a huge percentage of the planet still makes their living gathering their food in the old fashioned way. A 401K plan can mean a couple of animals and the ability to stay in tune with the weather without satellite help.

Some stare at individual pieces of the puzzle. Others step back to get the full picture, both report something fuzzy going on. We are all a Mandelbrot set in a way, micro and macro at the same time. Worrying if you are online too much or 'out of the loop' mostly is superfluous and an example of how fortunate it is that our lives give us enough space to be introspective at all. When you are running from bandit death squads, or seeking a hiding place from the animals of the night you don't have a lot of space to wonder 'why am I here?'

We all seek the balance of being present and 'letting go'. Some lean on the power of the Pharmaceutical and psychiatry, others on the non-linear techniques of meditation or fantasyŠ So medication or meditation, or a little of both. Is there another choice, presence or pretense? Maybe presents?

Here at itsALLlove.com we try it all, a perfect relaxed meal shared with the caring is the most powerful anti-overwhelmed drug we know. Doing both bringing us into the present moment and also captivating us into a place where worries have no traction. Balance is not a state that you can record only experience.

Election season has been full of humor and dread. Without getting into politics, the question of who should lead the family of the United States is guaranteed to create screams and sighs at any backyard gathering. We're enjoying these last few weeks of summer here, the suspended time of late evenings outdoors, sleeping with the stars and the sense that nothing is as important as making sure the basil and tomatoes are watered. Even in the carefree summer days we can't help but have our hearts plucked by stories of suicide bombers, snipers, corporate liars; all evidence that could lead us into a mournful the atrocities we inflict on each other, such a brawl going on in the family of man. Still inside and outside of all these dark winds we know now more than ever, it's all love.
