Moon Week Libra thru Capricorn

Run for your lives Eclipse!! Well the only problem is that there is nowhere to run from the stars. Eclipses are one of the most maligned of the cosmic happenings we have. They aren't rare an in fact come in a regular cycle. This one starts with a new Moon in Libra Monday morning PDT at 3:28AM. The cycle closes with the Lunar eclipse, Moon in Aries, on the 17th of this month. They always come in pairs Solar and Lunar. They offer us this 14-day cocoon to use for transformation. What else do you do with a cocoon? Aries and Libra hold between them the first half of the story of the zodiac: that which lies below the horizon, the personal, the internal, and the mechanism of being. The next six signs begin to define the external, familial and public.

So this fortnight offers a chance to tweak the dials and knobs that make up our emotional, physical, spiritual and mental being. Small little changes or awareness' can have long reaching effects. Here early in the changing seasons we can get a lot of reinforcement from nature on this issue of transience and transformation. It gives a special energy to this week; simple things can have large effects. It also marks the beginning of the Hebrew high holidays, Rosh Hashanah is Tuesday, and Yom Kippur is in the eclipse cycle and Sukkoth at the end.

Monday the new Moon gives us a great window to heal some rifts. Mercury is dancing with Pluto and the Sun and moon also are in the sign of Libra. Now is the time to see how an HONEST 10 minute conversation could untangle years worth of issues with someone. The space this action creates is amazing. You have to be clear on what it is you want to say and be very prepared to hear something you didn't expect. But with these placements in the sign of diplomacy this is an excellent time not to carry foolish old issues, grudges, and misunderstandings any longer. Remember life is a no baggage flight.

Tuesday and much of the mid-week the moon is in Scorpio. So hopefully you did get out what you wanted to say 'cause the moorings loosen up on secrets, the hallways down to the dark depths of the being are open. That which is hidden comes to the surface. My grandmother says speaking the truth instead of lying gives you less to remember. In the middle of the Scorpio Lunar transit Mercury and Jupiter are conjunct. This has been building and lasts for a few days. What is just pressing to come out, almost aching to be released? If could be just personal it doesn't have to involve other persons or things. Chances are it's connected though. Use this day and the couple that follow it as a launching pad for offering up different takes on old issues with groups and completely fresh dialogues with the person in the mirror. Communication is rich in this cycle not just a collection of vowels and consonants.

The end of the week the dreaminess wears off and we have to take a direction or one will be taken for us. The Moon heads into Sagittarius, Venus also enters this sign close behind and she will be here until early next month. Now is the time to let your sense of morals and beauty takes flight, loose that arrow into the world. Don't worry about feedback; just be sure that the motivation is coming from as deep in you as you can possibly feel. Simple heartfelt actions can far outlast complex mental concepts or even energized but unguided physical movements. Sometimes acting on the hearts wishes and hints is the only way to really know what they are.

Saturday Mercury the busiest planet of the week moves into Scorpio for until the end of the month. Now the secrets are really stirred up. So if you have something in the closet it's best to get it out by your own hand rather then it just falls out by surprise with the dinner party in attendance. On a grander scale as Mercury transits the u.s.a.'s Scorpio ascendant there could be some not so pretty facts blurting out into the news. Particularly concerning intelligence and how it has been given to us the people, the arena of foreign policy will take a hit on an already bruised reputation. The administration could be exposed and early in this term already a lame duck.

Tuning to the cycles of the moon is one of the most concrete uses of the art of astrology. Eclipses are the main course, each month the new moon is important, when it's an eclipse it's like capitol letters. Suspend your disbelief for a fortnight, flow with the moon.
