We are in the build up through the Holy Daze; a non-astrological back drop. Or is it? Truly the solstice is a non religious maybe spiritual but definitely physical happening that is acknowledged in churches, temples, synagogues and mosques. Did I forget anyone? apologies if I did.

The northern Solstice happens in the middle of the week. The lunar cycle is waning; the last quarter is on Friday, we run from Leo through Scorpio. The expression of passion and desire and then a tour to it's source.

Whether you are in the darkest days of Winter or enduring the scorching of the summer winds the weather makes it's statement. It is but a reflection of this cycle of light and dark on the planet, forming the weather. Sunrise is an event that never ends just moves around the globe. It's our listing like a top on a table and our wonderful satellite, the moon, that generates the atmosphere we all share. Astral or physical weather doesn't care whether we notice or not. In the extremes, those that heed the elements survive.

Monday is a push me pull you event. The moon aspecting the energy between Jupiter and Saturn: expansion and limitation at the bargaining table. The best negotiations are not like poker games where we call and raise. Usually the brainstorm attitude works best, so that all parties can see the solution as an obvious choice. If the personal gets into it then tempers, sex drives and money issues can get in the way. The evening is an opportunity to use communal activity to wash away any rough edges from the day. Sometimes things that can't be said to someone can be danced with them, eye contact seals a deal as well as handshakes.

There is a clarity of perception for us on Tuesday many will cleaning, straightening, trying to express it in a get 'da shit together format. It lets us know that these kinds of activities are really more mental then physical. To execute only takes a few hours, but stack up the hours (days?) thinking about it, ignoring it, moving it around to a new place or straightening up the stack so it looks better. Well we all know the scenario. When the vision is there it's like a speed robot is sorting, throwing, filing. Let it rip!, being clear on the solstice or at least having a good survey is very advantageous!

Wednesday crackles from start to finish. Mercury and Saturn make a sweet aspect. Words can move mountains right now. Take them seriously for the rest of the week, speaking and listening from the depths convinces even the most hard core cynic that we can evolve through connection with each other. It's the solstice day so would should be off in the woods, you know bon fire, dancing with the trees, mistletoe, warm cider, huge cuddle puddles. What ever is your format, the neat ritual of burning your dark side, writing down what you want to release and feeding it to the flame is powerful. Of course you can humbly request to attract things, people, ways of being too. Either way the solstice is an event, not a holiday, but if you claim it then it's transformed to a HOLYday.

Thursday the mental channel begins to flicker a little bit, not like it's going out but that it's changing frequencies. There is a hard aspect to Pluto in the evening. We have a sense of where our inner destructive influence is if we wish to look. Often, like clutter, it's a lot harder to think about then to actually deal with. Rooting out and identifying our inner saboteurs often instantly gives us a freedom from them.

Friday and for the Christmas and beginning of Chanukah weekend we have the moon in Libra. Goodwill, the vision of equality. The last quarter moon is also today and we begin the dark cycle of the moon. This is a great night to get cozy and real with those deep in your heart. Just sharing common things like touch, smells, warmth and tastes can be worth hundreds of hours of therapy!

Saturday Venus moves retrograde. Like with Mercury it provides a review. It won't turn direct until February 3rd. Individually and collectively we have a over a month to review how we create our morals, what we think is right and beautiful. Venus will slip back in to Capricorn with this transit so the collective, business and finance arenas are high lighted. There is presently a backlash to the Walmartization of our economy. Now we clearly will see some info on the health, mental and physical, of the conditions made by poor ethical decisions in the corporate arena.

Most of Sunday the moon is void of course, however you do or don't celebrate the HolyDaze try getting light. It takes no effort or extension of yourself to just sit back and critique. Now stepping up and showing how you think the party should get started not that takes some creativity and drive. The best guide would be simplicity, honesty and frivolity. May it wash over is all!
