MoonWeek Gemini thru Virgo

It's a chatty lunar begining to the Roman Solar Calendar of 2007. Feel free to brainstorm and kibitz at will, capture some essence of what you want to project out into the New Year. Even though Calendars are now actually an abstract construct they have power, a measure of how much our human group mind affects our reality. It is what we think it is lots of times in the world of abstraction. I would love that new year feel everyday actually.

The Full Moon comes later in the week, pulling the energies of Cancer and Capricorn together, it's a 'cardinal' alignment and more then the numbers on the calendar this day marks a point in our cycle, now you can see the results of where you are and where you want to go.

New Years day is Monday and with the moon in Gemini it has plenty to say. It would be good to take the opportunity to sound off for yourself. Granted the idea of a calendar is an abstract, but if you suspend your cynic disbelief and have a conversation that really feels like here is a chance for a restart, what are the dos and don'ts that you want for the year, it can have some deep effects. It's a great moon to jump on the fresh communication style with others. Do you usually rise to the occasion to talk trash, go for the negative case scenario? Could be a window to shift that, remember the subconscious is always listening.

The moon shifts into Cancer on Tuesday. Sensitivity rises, emotional and physical. If you're still feeling your libations it's not to late to hydrate. If the emotions get flared up easily, don't just fluff it over but take a look at it and see what's the root of it. Often the same issues just put on different costumes. Under the Cancer moon we can see the cracks in our being. It's better to see them when they are hair thin then to be confronted with them as a huge fracture.

The Sun and Uranus make a touch today also. There are bits of the physical day to day that could be shifted, maybe small things, like moving where you put your shoes, but they can have some big effects down the road. Be open to the unexpected and treat it as the norm for today.

Here on Wednesday we have the Full Moon, Venus moving into Aquarius and Mercury aspecting Uranus, so it's full of energy. This Full Moon is the sense and emotions fused together. We can see the link between our emotions and the alignment of our physical health. It's not just fringe theory anymore; there is a scientific direct relevance. It can be a Moon to shift one to help the other. Depression can lead to physical maladies and physical pain can drag the emotional plane down. Whichever side you have a better connection with use it to fuel the fusion. Drink more water and eat better food and you can lift the heart, keeping an open attitude can give you the will to make the changes on the physical.

Venus moving into Aquarius for a cycle gives us the chance to experience the unusual in the arena of what is moral, beautiful and loving. It also lends a heady and thoughtful sense to this area of human existence. On a grand level this could be a cycle where some actual progress is made to sooth some of the violence in our world between sects and nations. Mercury and Uranus hooking up can give us a grip on putting some of these lofty ideals to work on a practical level.

All of the trials of the early week melt away on Thursday with the Moon in Leo. Now we get back to some of that self-theatric and vibrant feeling. Soak it up, the Full Moon energy is sometimes easier to absorb on the waning side. Open up the heart to these winds and don't allow personal insecurities to get traction.

At the end of the week on Friday we still have the moon in Leo, could make for a playful and party life first weekend of '07. I'm thinking it's "if you were sick of 06, live some heaven in ohhh 7!"

Here with the idea of a new year fresh and the frequencies of the heart high why not just experiment with living from the heart, where you see contradictions in actions don't bemoan, feel down into the depths of your heart and feel for what is always the obvious track to take. Yeah lots of people say 'follow your head not your heart.' That's a worn out cliche, look where it's got us. Could be a time to create a different cliche, 'start with the heart and you'll find your real mind.'

The first weekend of '07 starts Saturday with the Moon in Leo and then in the evening shifting into Virgo. The Sun is also conjunct Mercury in heavy Capricorn. It's a great time to get the first shuffle and organizing session of the New Year started. With the Sun/Mercury pairing there is plenty of clear vision on what needs to be done and communicated. Even if you have huge lofty goals today you can see some of the simple and achievable concrete steps you can take today to make progress. We have to have a goal for our journey but it's not our path if we can't enjoy each step.

This energy continues into Sunday. Lists are a static thing, sometimes just making them is their purpose, I always like to put huge things next to little ones, clean up the bookshelves next to unify with the divine principle. The creation of a list is like a huge advertisement to the subconscious, of course the conscious being can use it to get the right stuff at the store and plan a great event, but the 'life list' is helpful just in it's creation. Pick up the pen and jot down some things grand and simple, put it somewhere you can come across it in the next two weeks, remind yourself of the sense you have of your purpose. If you want to get a cleared picture of what that is this is a great way to entice that out of yourself.

The Roman calendar isn't the only one so maybe a great resolution would be to celebrate each day of this year as a new year!
