MoonWeek Cancer thru Virgo

What has been frazzled, frustrating and challenging will hang on until the middle of the week. Then the momentum will be fierce, we're heading into a Lunar Eclipse on Saturday. It's a Virgo/Pisces pairing of the Sun/Moon. You can't run from what is above and below you, time to live with reality or it comes to live with you.

Monday we still have the Cancer Moon and it's a bit of an emotional hangover. You can self medicate and try all sorts of diversions but the best path is to see what has come up and sense for the roots. The details of the dramas may change, the characters alter but the internal script remains the same. We are here to work out certain issues and the sooner we identify them the easier it is to deal with the waves they cause in our internal ocean. These monthly Cancer Moon transits stir up a lot of physical, emotional and mental stuff. Often we get overwhelmed. It sounds sadistic but this is just where the cosmos wants you, at the state where you are willing to look at or try anything. A place where you can examine all in your life as temporary and see the inherent value in everything; those relationships you think are permanent and the seemingly trivial acts and people in our lives. The guru or teacher can come in any form; a dog that growls at you, someone that cuts you off in traffic, the only portion in our control is your reactions. So when times get crazy the crazy get sane.

Mercury continues it's retrograde cycle and backpedals into Aquarius giving us a hard core look at what the last 30 days has brought us in the areas of communications. Especially people in group projects should check that all are on the same page; in the grand sense of project direction but also the mundane as in when the time of the next meeting is. Mercury Retrograde cycles give us an opportunity to tune the part of us that is responsible for staying present. You can save a lot of grief by just taking a breath, not rushing and looking everything over one last time.

Tuesday we have another day of the Moon in Cancer, it's rare to have a whole day where the Moon doesn't aspect a single astral body but here it is. The moon rules Cancer so it's like a review of the last few days. What are the core issues that seem to always come up? Can you actually list them in a simple way? If you can get them out in front of yourself in a posture of examination they have less power to torture you. They have to remain hidden for this to happen, by bringing them out in the light you get perspective and they loose control, and then you get some peace and a sense of direction to deal with them. Actually death is the only issue, all else is a reaction to this concept.

Wednesday we get a shift in energy and all the way through the weekend we can ride it. The Moon moves into Leo and this sense of vibrance and electrification of the heart is welcome. Take care not to just forget all you've been through in the last few days, now is a chance to work those issues from a place of joy and energy. Leo natives are often plagued by the roller coaster of confidence and then down into doubt. It can change in an instant. If we are aware we get to see how it's all just our mental posture not the actual particulars of our life that defines whether we're on the way up or down. Using this Leo energy to exercise the heart, really loving, not just people but also the gift of life itself can recharge the spiritual centers of our being. Many just go on and take it as it comes, the true seekers attempt to attune to the universal vibration that is pure harmony, it's not just new age babble, it's been around a lot longer then that. It fits as well in our digital age as in the ancient ages of the saints and Rishi's. Here is a chance to be your own inspiration. Let your own life be your Guru.

Saturn and Neptune meet in opposition today, it will play out through the weekend. On a personal level we may be given lessons to how our excess can cause physical and emotional damage, leading us out of a life that desires spiritual evolution. Especially with the Leo Moon transit don't let it sink into self depreciating mind thoughts but look at it as valuable information on the areas you need to monitor and change, maybe look for the reasons you use the excess, what are you suppressing? Mercury also touches Pluto today and something not thought of in the arena of war and international policy will come to light over the next few days.

Thursday the moon still in Leo we have the chance to prep for this full moon, not just full but an eclipse. Sense deep for what the heart wants, not what the mind or body desires but how the heart would enjoy it. If you want a better house it's the heart that would just enjoy that view from the porch. So often we don't need to change the external but allow the internal to come up, enjoy and live our life from that perspective. So often we talk about peace of mind, this is actually a state where the spiritual or heart part of us gets equal time in the mind, the mind calms, sees the big and little pictures then we get a sense of contentment. It's all in our control or it controls us, the choice is up to each of us personally.

Friday "it's on!" as they say. The moon slips into Virgo and the stage is set for the full moon. We have the spark and sizzle of the mental channel going, the ability to look at problems and see a step-by-step vision on how to deal with them. We have to take care not to get too critical and to leave some room for synchronicity and trust to seep in. This mindset is welcome though as it gives us a sense that we can do anything, the larger the personal growth or scope of public project the more easily we see the steps needed to facilitate it. Don't take this energy for granted, take some notes, it would be good to revisit after the wave of the full moon passes over us.

Saturday this whole day is the Moons playground and we are the elements of play. No-one on the planet is immune, the non-believers and convenient pragmatists will blame it all on something but all you have to do is look up into the sky. It's an eclipse that can be seen through most of Asia and Eastern Europe. You don't have to use your eyes to see it though. It's a pairing of the Sun in Pisces, the psychic nature of the human being with the Moon in Virgo, the mental nature. So dreams, intuitions and inclinations should be headed and looked for. You can instill a sense of presence in yourself that can follow these parts of your being, reset the internal compass to what you want to become and accomplish.

It all has to start with a firm and unequivocal acceptance of the now, what you are and what is. Looked at in a vision that isn't clouded by worries from the past or future. It's just the now. Whatever form of spirituality you practice now is a time to tune it in, refine it and get humble with your relationship to the cosmology that resonates with you. In basic terms you have to get down with the divine, realize that physical life is temporary and it's a waste of time trying to satisfy the mundane and plutonic urges of yourself or others. Identify what it you are here for, if it doesn't include some sort of unification with the divine forces then you aren't really trying to identify. If your form of spirituality is appealing more to how you think it looks to others then you need to get humble and tune it to how it looks to the divine. There are many faces and phases of this in human history it only takes a few minutes of silence to pick your flavor, or better yet to have it pick you.

As with all eclipse cycles we are now in a 14 day cycle that will dictate what happens until the next one, in August. What you think, do and feel is a microcosmic resonance with the macrocosm. In simple terms you are living the next cycle in this next 14 days, what happens and doesn't is like a tiny map of the coming cycle. Take it seriously and playfully just don't let it take you.

Sunday the lunar energy is still strong; it's the beginning days of the eclipse cycle. Use the Virgo moon to make some sense of this barrage of emotions and thoughts. Draw it, play music, take notes, but describe it to yourself and put it somewhere you can be reminded of it for the next 14 days. We're here to evolve, if you don't think so then that's just the pace of evolution you're on, slow and without a shock most likely not to elevate in this lifetime. If the idea of evolution resonates with you then use it, make yourself thirsty for the things and people that can bring that about, it's not about the future and getting some sort of commercial enlightenment it's about the NOW and turning it on in the present. May your light shine bright and we all inspire each other.
