A kNEW mOOn week is upon us. It feels like more than a month since the last new moon. We have the early week to tidy up our spheres and closets, discard what you don't want to drag through a lunar cycle and hit the reset button. Mercury is active this week and we have the Gemini Moon transit so words, images, sound, body language, all styles of communication are turned up to 11.

Monday still has a bit of the Aries sizzle in the early parts. Look at the energy you had this weekend, was there somewhere that you could get plenty of acceleration but no traction? That's the spinning the wheels in the Aries zone and you could adjust the speed and use the last of this Aries energy to tie up loose ends.

The moon moves into Taurus in the evening and we're in the darkest transit of the moon. Symbolically where we can use dreams, intuitions and this heightened vision of what makes us tick internally. We can see the roots of our emotions and thoughts, adjustments made this deep have intense results.

Tuesday we have the full day with the Moon in Taurus. Don't let the new moon sneak up on you. Full Moons get all the glory but here are where the seeds are planted and the weeds pulled. Take some time today to observe the pure beauty and harmony of your life arena. I'm lucky here in Portland that there is an abundance of nature in the city so it's easy to have access. I once heard StarHawk say that she thought the reason that the first plants to colonize an urban area, dandelions, comfrey, and plantain were ironically the ones we need most. i.e.: nerve tonics, blood cleansers and immunity system boosters.

Urban or rural it's easy to forget that we are part of nature, no matter how out of balance it seems we're still part of the ecosystem. Skyscrapers are our anthills, we're carving up the landscape more viciously than any species yet we're still that: another species on the planet. This dark of the moon in Taurus can give us access to tuning back into the resonant frequency and truly that's the only choice we have.

Today Mars shifts into Aries for a month. On a personal level check what Aries placements you have and look for those days Mars will pass by, giving an energetic boost but also shortening the fuse. On the world stage we're gonna see some record setting battles go on. It's no holds barred time for those with issues and all of the Abrahamic fanatics got issues.

Wednesday it's the kNEW MOON!! It's the best reason to even have a glancing interest in the cycles of nature and the cosmos. Each month we get this reset, this attunement to a fresh frequency. You get it whether you observe or not but as all process the amount of awareness you put in comes back exponentially.

Taurus represents that contented sense, santosa for the yogis. For the new agers it's the idea of abundance, whose first law is the feeling and belief that there is plenty. It's easily tuned into by just realizing that there is enough, this digs under the basic human fear that there is a lack of food or shelter. If you're life is so tumultuous right now that those things are at risk this moon gives you the stance to rearrange your life so you have those basics. We can get in tough with how desire or wants bring about these feelings of desperation. So adjusting the cravings changes your relationship to the supply.

As with all kNEW Moons it's the time to get witchy, bust out your mojo self and spin up some prayer/incantations. It works with all beliefs as even cynical hardcore Nietzschian atheists have to give the nod that the Moon has influence on the energetic field that is a human being.

Thursday the moon is in Gemini and it's like frosting on the cake of a fresh moon. Communication is swift and loose. Gemini moons are great for brainstorming sessions, wood shedding on your art whether music, painting or writing. All communication under Gemini should be filtered for reality though when the Moon goes into Cancer. It's really easy to say, "yeah I'll help you organize that benefit show." Then in two weeks you're like, "why did I sign up for this?" So making sure you can walk everything you say is important. Using it to freestyle in groups on directions, new projects general creative research is getting the most out of Gemini. Take notes 'cause lots of good ideas get lost in the avalanche of babble.

Friday is the Cancer moon transit for the month, when our emotions and sensitivities reach a peak. The part of your body/heart/mind that needs some attention is going to surface. It's like a survey of issues and we all need it if we're going to evolve past them. Try and stay objective or at least have some surgery room humor about it. In the collective we can move around our intimates knowing that the issue channel is high and not take some of the moods and snipes we encounter personally. Cancer transits can give more issues rather then help you out of them if you start taking others stuff personally.

Saturday the weekend belongs to Cancer. With the New Moon energetic it's a great time to enjoy the home space and small gatherings, that sense of 'created family', people that you have shared experiences with. Elevating these relationships is crucial to all of our evolution. It allows us to accept the changes in others and to elevate around our fRamily without threatening them.

Mercury is opposite Jupiter today bringing together Gemini and Sagittarius. Loosely translated it gives the pull to communicate the direction that you want to expand out into. This conversation firstly must happen with ourselves and the person in the mirror but the few days after this we'll all have a chance to declare it then to the people and organizations that we need to use for this expansion. To 'jupiterize' is to harmonize with your environment and get your flower up into the sunlight.

Sunday the moon is still in Cancer and it's a day I prescribe for a hot luxurious bath, one that gets down into your soul. Drink in your surroundings starting with that amazing cellular spaceship you have called a human body. No matter what the condition it's in if you're still breathing it's a miracle. Just recognize that, get down on that cellular level and feel the vibrance that is cooking in every cell for you to be alive. Each pulse of the heart is an engineering marvel, when is the last time you though about your liver or kidneys doing their job without supervision, filtering liters for you every day. That is us, we are organisms, there is a magic there that is the gateway to sensing that whisper of divinity in the animal. Mercury squares Uranus today and we all have a chance to get an intuitive blast, instantaneous illumination and healing is a possibility, sprinkled with awareness it moves up to a probability on it's way to certainty.
